These pictures were taken on October 20, 2003.
Starting at the south end of the Albert Memorial Bridge,
going along the south shore towards the university.
As the lake level decreases, numerous bottom junk are being exposed.
In addition to the expected bicycles and bottles, other items include four bathtubs near the legislative dock;
a holed boat further east, as well as an air conditioner and file cabinet at the old Broad Street Bridge abutment.
4 concrete curbs, 2 barrels full of concrete, and old telephone line near the north shore dock.
Wooden keg and wagon wheel near Willow Island.
The water is draining slower than expected due to the presence of sandbag dams at Albert Street and Broad Street..
These temporary dams were constructed several years ago when a section of the north shore near the bandstand
was being refinished.
